About us
Four decades of flavour in the heart of Sakana
Right in the centre of Alsasua, next to the Urbasa Natural Park, Bar Restaurante Arkangoa has been offering honest and savoury Basque cuisine with a commitment to local products for more than 40 years. A place where tradition and modernity come together in the dining room as well as at the lively pintxos counter.The friendly atmosphere, well-known excellent quality/price ratio and care that goes into each dish have turned it into a reference for locals and visitors alike, wanting to eat well all while feeling right at home.Its seasonal menus, special set menus on request and bar counter full of classic and innovative pintxos, many of which are award-winning, truly stand out. All of this is accompanied by select wines and attentive service at a taberna-jatetxea that aims to do things well while promoting all things local.

We open in the evenings on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for informal dinners with shared dishes, salads, sandwiches and rolls, combo platters and pintxos.
We serve á-la-carte lunches and dinners on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Lunchtime: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Evenings: 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
We also accept special requests during the week for groups of at least 10 people. If you’ve got a special meal in mind, call us and we’ll organize it!

Located in Alsasua, in the heart of the region of Sakana, Bar Restaurante Arkangoa is just a step away from the Urbasa and Andia Natural Park, surrounded by landscapes that invite you to stop, walk around and peacefully savour what life has to offer.
Our environment is an essential part of who we are. We’re committed to cuisine that respects everything around us: local ingredients, nearby producers, and a deeply-rooted way of doing things. Gastronomy and nature walk hand in hand around here.
The closeness to enclaves such as the Sierra de Urbasa mountains, the Nacedero del Urederra natural reserve and the Sierra de Aralar mountains makes Arkangoa the perfect place to enjoy a good meal before or after a day outside.
Our restaurant is also a meeting place for those travelling between Pamplona, Vitoria and Donostia. A savoury stop in an authentic, all-natural environment where each visit tastes different.
